Ero kuumasinkityksen ja sähkösinkityksen välillä

Oct 25, 2019

Galvanizing refers to the surface treatment of a layer of zinc on the surface of metal or other materials, mainly for the purpose of aesthetic rust prevention. The current common methods are mainly hot dip galvanizing and cold galvanizing which is also called electro-galvanizing or zinc plating. Due to the destructive effects of corrosion on metals, humans have constantly sought ways to improve its anti-corrosion solution, and one of the most widely used techniques for protecting steel is called galvanization which was invented over 280 years. In 1742, a chemist known as Melouin found that a zinc coating could be applied to iron by dipping it into molten zinc. This discovery triggered a wave of research throughout the scientific community and laid a solid foundation for galvanizing. In 1780, an Italian physicist, Luigi Galvani, observed that the contact between two dissimilar metals resulted in the flow of an electrical current. Over time, the understanding of galvanizing improved significantly, and by 1850, 10,000 tons of zinc was used annually by the British galvanizing industry for the protection of iron. This is the birth of galvaniztion industry that continues to flourish till today.

Electro galvanizing means that the zinc salt solution is electrolyzed to coat the plated parts. Generally speaking, it does not need to be heated, and the amount of zinc is very small, so it is easy to be corroded when encountering wet environment.  Electro galvanizing uses electrolytic equipment to put the workpiece into the solution containing zinc salt after degreasing and pickling, and connect the negative pole of electrolytic equipment; place a zinc sheet on the opposite side of the workpiece to connect to the positive pole of the electrolysis equipment, turn on the power supply, and use the current to move from the positive pole to the negative pole directionally, then a layer of zinc will be deposited on the workpiece.

The difference of finished galvanized products: the surface of Hot Galvanizing is not as fine and bright as electro galvanizing, but the thickness of zinc layer is often few times higher. The anti-corrosion performance is also few times better than electro galvanizing. The coating of hot dip galvanizing is thicker, generally 45-100 microns. It can also be coated with thicker zinc layer according to users' requirements, and the coating has better anti-corrosion capability. It is suitable for long-term rust prevention of steel and iron parts that are used in outdoors, such as tunnel cable brackets, häkkikiinnike kalanviljelyyn, telakan laitteistokiinnikkeet, posti tukee, telecom-kiinnikkeet, kiinnikkeet ja muut laitteistot, jotka liittyvät infrastruktuuriprojekteihin, jotka vaativat hyvää -korroosionestokykyä.
